Looking Back on 2018
As we draw nearer to the end of the year I wanted to make a post (mainly for me but if you like it too, cool!) reflecting on my 2018.
Lost of ups and downs, but such is life. I’m glad that I take so many pictures because it can be tricky to keep track of a years worth of events!
I managed to read 20 books this year! For me that is nuts. I’ve always liked reading but had a hard time finding chances to put it into motion. I love using Goodreads to keep up with it. The Reading Challenge helps a lot because you can see your progress. My original goal was to read 10 books, but I was catching up to that too quickly so I changed it to 12, which became 15, which became 20! Next year I think I’ll aim for 25 ;)
I discovered my hidden talent for axe-throwing! I love our cats more and more all the time.
I made them this little treat kingdom which is fun
to see them use their brains & hands to get treats
My sister got engaged! She asked me to be her Maid of Honour (because of course!), and we went wedding dress shopping with our mom for the first time! This isn’t the dress she chose (that’s a secret still ;)), but I do love this one. Isn’t she beautiful?
My amazing grandma Nancy passed away this year too. She was my last grandparent and it’s strange & sad not having her here anymore. But her legacy lives on in this crazy, beautiful family of ours! (that’s only about 2/3 of us in that photo)
My handsome, wonderful partner Mike & I celebrated 2 years of being together, and our 1 year anniversary of adopting our kitty babies! I love my little family so so much.
And my mama is just the best mama there is. Period. Love love love.
The best friends ever helped me turn 26, and I got to see my sweet friend Kelsey get married!
I channeled my inner Amy Winehouse for Halloween
And I freaking created this!! I’m not going to lie, I’m very proud of myself for bringing this little idea I had to life. I love the pregnancy care package and I hope you love it too! Please, if you know any pregnant people consider buying this as a gift, they will LOVE it!
It certainly has been a year. I can’t wait to see what fun things we cook up in 2019!
Now I have one day left of work and then it’s up to my mum & papa Al’s house for Christmas with these fools! xoxo
